伊万霍文理学校招生简章
伊万霍文理学校最初成立于1915年，建校之初我校是一个专门为男生提供教育的天主教会学校。从1990年开始我校拓展成为了三个校园，分别都位于墨尔本市北部。
我校有三个校园，分别是：BUCKLEY校园、RIDGEWAY校园以及PLENTY校园。其中：
BUCKLEY校园 - 同时招收男生和女生
为三到四岁的孩子开始提供教育机会，并一直教育他们到六年级，该校园同时招收男生和女生就读。
RIDGEWAY校园 - 只招收男生
该校园只招收男生，并为男生提供了一系列广泛的教育。
PLENTY校园 - 同时招收男生和女生
L该校园同时招收男生和女生就读，学生可以在这里接受从幼儿教育到中学毕业的全部完整教育。
STRATHBOGIE课外活动中心
学校还有专门的课外活动中心，为六到十年级的学生提供了全面的课外教育
我校有专门的学生宿舍，但由于学生宿舍数量有限，我们将根据学生的需要具体安排是否让学生住宿学校的学生宿舍。相当多的国际留学生在他们在澳大利亚的亲属处居住。但如果学生需要的话，我们也可以为学生安排住宿当地澳大利亚人家庭。
根据澳大利亚法律规定，所有在我校就读的学生必须指定一个澳大利亚公民作为他们在澳大利亚留学期间的监护人。
在需要的情况下，我们也可以为学生安排监护人，但需要额外收费
The School is a day school of some 1700 students and is endorsed to enrol international students from Preparatory to Year 12. Most international students are enrolled at The Ridgeway Secondary Campus in Ivanhoe.
Ivanhoe welcomes students of all nationalities and faiths, and values the richness of its population, which reflects the multicultural nature of contemporary Australian society.
The School is well served by public transport and is conveniently located for easy access to the amenities of the city of Melbourne.

The educational program provides students with a wide range of subject choice and co-curricular programs, which assists in developing the students’ talents, and most importantly, helps develop high levels of proficiency in English.

Pathways for Boys and Girls
Boys and girls may be enrolled at any primary or secondary level, progressing to study either the VCE or IB in their final years. Most spend time in the intensive English (ELICOS) program before moving to mainstream classes. At Years 11 and 12 all students choose from the courses listed above.
Pathways to University
Ivanhoe Grammar School has strong links with the best Australian universities, particularly with the University of Melbourne through its Melbourne Schools Partnership International. International students graduating from Ivanhoe Grammar School are guaranteed entry to many undergraduate courses at the University of Melbourne, provided they meet the University’s Guaranteed Academic Entry Standards. ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROGRAMS
International students come directly to Ivanhoe Grammar School from overseas. This enables them to become full members of the Ivanhoe Grammar School community from arrival, and they are immediately in the care of experienced Ivanhoe Grammar School staff.

Intensive English (ELICOS)
Ivanhoe Grammar School is accredited by NEAS (National ELT Accreditation Scheme) as a provider of ELICOS Programs.
This program is staffed by specialist teachers and provides intensive English instruction at beginner to intermediate levels for newly arrived students. Most students spend from ten to forty weeks in the program, depending on English levels at commencement and rates of progress. While attending the ELICOS centre, students are gradually integrated into other school programs.

English as a Second Language (ESL)
Once adequate levels of English have been reached, students progress to mainstream classes and study English as a Second Language (ESL) as a subject. In addition, our highly experienced ESL staff provide support in other subjects.

Student Support
The Dean of International Students is responsible for the care of international students, and assists with all aspects of their welfare, including guardianship and accommodation matters and academic issues. Health Insurance matters are managed by the School Nurse, and Visa and Passport matters by the Director of Ivanhoe International.
Form Tutors and Heads of Pastoral Groups are also concerned with the welfare of international students in their groups.
The Careers Adviser works closely with international students and their teachers in assisting with subject choice, career advice and University entrance.
The progress of the students in the School is monitored closely and parents receive regular reports on academic and other matters. Telephone contact, with interpreters as necessary, is encouraged for solving problems as promptly as possible.
The Student Counsellors are also available to assist international students with course counselling, study problems and other difficulties which may limit academic progress.

Accommodation and Guardianship
Many international students studying at Ivanhoe Grammar School have relatives and friends in Melbourne who can assist with accommodation and guardianship. However, students are not permitted to live independently with friends of a similar age.
The School has an extensive and closely monitored homestay network. Students complete a homestay request form at the time of accepting their place in the School. Every effort is made by the homestay placement agency to meet these requirements as closely as possible. Students should expect to travel to School for 30-40 minutes on good public transport.
The School considers it important that each international student should have a Guardian, preferably in Melbourne, and appointed by and known to the parents, to provide personal and practical support outside the School environment. If possible, the Guardian should be personally known to the student, and ideally could also provide accommodation. The Guardian would be expected to take a personal and parental interest in all aspects of the student’s welfare.
Where families are unable to nominate a suitable guardian, the School will liaise directly with the parents. A fax number or email address should be provided and parents must be able to arrange for English translation of all communications.
